Generous Donation from East Allenheads Estate Boosts Allendale Play Park Appeal

Fundraising efforts to refurbish the Allendale play park have received a welcome lift, with a generous donation from East Allenheads Estate bringing the total raised to £38,000 in grants and donations, with a further £25,000 potentially in the pipeline.

The contribution from the North Pennines moorland estate marks a significant milestone for the community-led project, which has relied on the dedication and generosity of local supporters and fundraisers to reach this point.

While the progress is encouraging, organisers stress that there is still some way to go. A further £100,000 or more is needed to complete the refurbishment and deliver the improved facilities the community is working towards.

Those wishing to support the appeal can donate through the project's JustGiving page or get in touch directly to arrange a fundraiser of their own.

The organisers extended heartfelt thanks to East Allenheads Estate and to everyone who has backed the play park so far. The donation is a fine example of a moorland estate stepping up to support a local cause, reflecting the kind of community spirit that sees people show up and help out wherever they can.
