Weardale Charity Shoot Raises Exceptional £15,070 for St Cuthbert's Hospice

The shooting community in the North Pennines has once again demonstrated its remarkable generosity, with the Weardale Charity Shoot raising a total of £15,070 in aid of St Cuthbert's Hospice. It is an exceptional achievement and one that reflects the deep commitment of the rural community to supporting causes that matter most.

The event brought together friends, family and competitors from across the region, all united in support of a hospice that provides the most amazing services to those who need them most. The day was a tremendous success, made possible only through the dedication of organisers and the willingness of the shooting community to dig deep for an important charity.

The North Pennines Moorland Group extended warm thanks to everyone who came along and supported the day, with particular gratitude to friends and family, to Chris and his team, and to Charles and Gillian and their team, whose efforts helped make the occasion such a resounding success.

Events of this kind highlight the vital role the shooting and moorland community plays well beyond the hill itself. Time and time again, the rural community comes together to raise significant sums for charities that deliver essential care and comfort, and the Weardale Charity Shoot stands as an example of that spirit in action.

Congratulations are due to all organisers and competitors on a brilliant achievement. With the foundations now firmly in place, attention turns to next year, when the organisers hope to build on this year's success and make the event bigger and better still.

The North Pennines Moorland Group looks forward to seeing everyone again next year.
